Cindy Long, Fiber Artist
Cindy Long is a Fiber Artist who has been living and weaving in the High Country for the past 18 years. She works exclusively with fibers from the yarn mills which remain in North and South Carolina. While her primary goal is to create pieces of wearable art for secular and liturgical purposes, she also seeks to educate and share her passion through weaving demonstrations, teaching private and group lessons while informing the public of the wonderful fibers which are available through local and regional mills.
She has been the Weaving Designer for Pisgah Yarn and Dyeing in Old Fort, NC for the past five years. She is the sole weaver featured on the mill's calendar, which will be released in September 2010.
